Abbey Prihoda Mahoney, Owner/Director   
2009-Present


Abbey Prihoda is seeking a Bachelor of Science Degree in University Studies with a Concentration in Dance, as well as a minor in Business and Creative Studies from Texas A&M University, Class of 2013. Abbey was five years old when she started dancing under the direction of Susie Haynie, owner of local studio Susie Haynie’s School of Dance in Navasota, Texas. She has also had the opportunity to perform at annual dance showcases since the age of 5, and performed at many sporting and community events such as Fair on the Square and the Pecan Lakes Golf Tournament, as well as holiday events. She was an assistant at Susie Haynie’s School of Dance at a young age, and also a teacher and assistant at The Dance Station under Lee Ann Haynie from Fall 2008-December 2009.  Since then Abbey has been the Owner of A P Dance Dimensions in Navasota, Texas where genres as hip hop, ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary etc, are offered.  She is the main teacher and choreographer for the studio as well as manages the business. As of May 2014 she has produced five successful recitals with approximately 80-100 dancers. Most recently the studio has moved to a new location offering a studio and gymnastics room in the facility. Throughout her time at A&M, Abbey has had the pleasure of learning under the direction of Christine Bergeron, Carisa Armstrong, and Kathleen Byrne of Texas A&M University.  She has been fortunate to take master classes from prestigious teachers and choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Dave Scott, Mike Minery, and Dan Karaty from FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance?” She has also had the privilege to take master classes from Brazos Dance Collective’s Andrea Sheridan and Jessica Ray Herzogenrath and other prestigious guest artists through Texas A&M University. .

Bryan Mahoney started training in gymnastics when he was 8 years old, and went on to compete nationally in his division in later years. He has had extensive training on the rings, pommel horse, high bar, low bar, trampoline, balance beam and floor. With specific training in strength building, flexibility, balance, and precision, he was able to take this knowledge and apply it in many different areas. This includes varsity high school sports; specifically soccer, basketball, football, and baseball, as well as college level football at University of Virginia's College at Wise. Here at APDD we encourage boys as well as girls to be a part of the gymnastics program for these reasons and more! He is also the boys hip hop coach. This class empahsizes masculine hip hop style, techniques, and tricks, as well as strength training (weightlifting) and stretching. Bryan is also pursuing a career in massage therapy. He is currently working at Shape and Relax Fitness and working on his massage liscense as well as a massage therapy liscense in the future. He is also co-owner of Straight "A" Fundraising along with Philip Carter which APDD uses throughout the year so that students and parents may raise money towards tuition, costumes, and other fees. He is currently studying at Blinn Jr. College and will transfer to Texas A&M University to finish his degree in business.

 

 

Taylor Torres, Assistant Teacher  
2012-Present

 

Taylor Torres Martinez is from Navasota, Texas where she was a four-year member of the Navasota Diamonettes Dance and Drill Team serving her Junior year as Social Officer President and her Senior year as Dance Officer Lieutenant. She also danced competitively at a local dance studio, A P Dance Dimensions, throughout her four years of High School. Taylor is currently attending Texas A&M University where she is perusing a major in University Studies in Dance Concentration with a double minor in Creative Studies and Leadership. As a member of the Texas A&M Dance Department, Taylor studies ballet and modern technique and is involved in rehearsals and shows through the program. She will graduate in May 2019 and begin working towards her teaching certification in January 2019. Taylor has been a staff member at A P Dance Dimensions for six years serving as an assistant teacher, front desk personnel, and most recently the head assistant teacher and co-choreographer for the studio’s company teams and soloist. During her time at the studio Taylor has helped to produce numerous regional award winning team routines as well as two national title soloist. In addition to working at APDD, Taylor has also served as the Assistant Director for the Byran High Shy-Annes Dance and Drill team since January 2018. In 2018 Taylor applied for and was selected to be a college intern for the Texas Dance Educators Association (TDEA) annual conference.

Haley Sechelski, APDD Photography

Haley graduated from Texas A&M University in 2007 with a Bachelor in Health Education and Minor in Dance. She is a Marriage and Family Therapy Student at Liberty University. She currently is an intern at TAMU Christian Counseling Center in Bryan, TX (As of 8/19/14) and owner of INTENTENTIONAL Events small events business that specializes in detailed and unique event designs. Haley is the personal Photographer for AP Dance Dimensions and photographs dance students for APDD’s annual spring show since 2012 and is available to photograph dancers for competition and more! INTENTIONAL events looks to the belief that every individual was created and knit together by God, the master creator, for a specific purpose. This belief is used guidance and inspiration for services offered. INTENTINAL event’s goal

is to help individuals be intentional in their appreciation, love and respect for those around them. We strive to share God’s love by showing each individual for whom the event is designed for, an understanding of their value and the important role that they play in the lives of those hosting the event. We offer quality, unique, and professional event designs, as well as detailed planning services, and photography services to honor the individual or group during a special event or occasion.
